Raised in Aberdare in the South Wales Valleys, Karin Mear completed a foundation course in art & design in 1985 then, having brought up two children, returned to full time education in 1994 to pursue an art degree course where she achieved First Class Honours.
Karin has had many solo exhibitions and organises and curates group exhibitions. She is also a founder of Brecon Women’s Festival and the current Mentee of the Chair of the Welsh Group https://www.thewelshgroup-art.com
